Ombre baby

So have I been living with my head under a rock or is Australia the big rock under which i can blame my lack of hair/fashion terms?
OMBRE (insert a accent above the E, not sure how to do this)...........is a French word meaning 'shaded'. Colour graduating from light to dark.
Ombre is the word to describe the two-toned, regrowth, teased foils, grown-out, faded-out and washed-out looks that so many desire at the moment.
The look hit it big time back when Giselle was donning her fashionable regrowth and has stuck around......now the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Rachel Bilson pay big bucks for what bogans (or new mothers with no time to sit in a salon chair) can grow out naturally.
Im not suggesting you stop supporting your hairdresser, hug some trees and quit bleaching yourhair. I just find it ironic that wealthy women pay big bucks in top salons and come out with colour work resembling low-income earning women unable to maintain there colour.
Anyone else with me on this??
Irony aside, its a very cool look and i'll endeavor to find out which salons in Melbourne are best at doing this 'Ombre Colour' and at what cost.

  1. "new mothers with no time to sit in a salon chair" awesome.
it takes a long time to get roots down to your ears. i know. i've done it several times. maybe these ladies are saying 'i haven't got the time to grow my roots to my ears, but i have the money'.
