Harpers Bazaar

Harpers Bazaar Indonesia have trekked to Tibet for their November Issue.

This shoot is magnificent with its use of Tibetan landscape, tradition dress, native animals and most importantly great Hair.

Its Epic in Length, I haven't included all the pages but you certainly get the idea.

Hair and Makeup by Qiqi Frankly.

Very dramatic shapes and use of full braids is well done. All round I'd say a gorgeous photoshoot, wouldn't you?

Boys Boys Boys

Well ladies get ready for American Crew to smash the tabloids.

Entries closed 1st of October and if last year was anything to go by, the judging crew will have to pry there eyes open clockwork orange style to get through them.

Last year saw hundreds of entries, some beautiful, some.....not so....but one things for sure its a room full of male photography....So its a terrific night.

Tuesday 9th down at the docklands.....State Finalists Announced!!!

Great Fish Braids, I remember Mark Thompson from Loreal showing me a how to pull apart a fish braid and get the same style that Yohji Yamamoto was rocking in his 2005 collection.

This shoot titled "INSIGHT" features Xenia from IMG in a bleak, streamline narration. Insight; one of Joy Divisions darkest tracks.

Shot by Karl Largerfield, this series was a special to mark the 60th anniversary of German Photography magazine Stern Photographie. Six different covers were shot with Claudia Schiffer, Claudia has been a muse for Karl for many many years.........

When designing a moodboard for Hair expo 2011.....i suggest referring to something along these lines. It covers cuts, styling, hair up, its androgynous, classic and ultra feminine. It basically ticks all the boxes, well it does more than tick them, it kicks them out of the ball park.

If i could mention a stylist that has his photos on the mark in this respect, id have to mention one talented Frank Apostolopoulos. Frank has spent years creating collections of an extremely high standard. His collection for Hair Expo 2010 adopted a similar method to this Claudia and Karl Collaboration. You need a story board..........you need top models........you need taste........

Stunningly Natural red hair is very hard to beat. I love the puffy fullness of the Bob, much cooler than straightening the heck out of it! Enjoy.

OMBRE BABY OH BABY

Well did i say it, or did i say it. Ombre is going OFF. And by off i mean ON in a big way.

Fashion magazines, stylists and celebrity's worldwide have embraced this hair trend, and from where i sit...... its still growing (please appreciate the clever regrowth pun)!

Ombre = Regrowth, very grown out colour services and gradual two tone hair.

Once a style reserved for busy, lazy, poor, cant be fucked, over it and generally forgetful non committing hair clients......not any more.

The rich, famed and fashionable now pay big bucks to get what bogans and westies have been rocking for century's.

I say....HAHA....and bring on the big bucks in the salons. Oh and I also say, "if i had long hair, i would most defiantly do it to myself". I think its HOT and yes i'm a fashion victim.
